Canadian Concept – Egyptian Roots
Chapter 17 - Thank You Letter
This letter was written on Egyptian papyrus paper -the first paper in history- and sent out to our kids’ school and teachers, our community library, health centre and family doctors, OW, neighbours and friends, the online as well as brick and mortar stores we usually shop in:
!السلام عليكم
We are reaching out to those who have stood by us through thick and thin
You may not have known how much help you have been
Perhaps, it was just a kind gesture on your part
But we wouldn’t have done it without your kind heart
There were numerous times we couldn’t do it on our own
And we needed the support of people who counted us as home
We are eternally grateful and hope someday our paths cross together
We wanted to say ‘Thank You’ in Egyptian way and hope we stay in touch forever
شكرًا
(Recipient name in Egyptian Arabic)
We chose this medium to thank you for your support and contribution at any point along this journey. Things would have been different without having you in our corner as our family, friends and neighbors in our new home, Canada.
We wrote your name in the Egyptian language, on Papyrus, to give you a feel of the old and the new from where we originate.
Your contribution and effort towards us are a huge part of our growth. We appreciate your support and would love to have your continuous support in this Canadian dream and be a part of our next episodes.
