Chapter 4 - Canadian Experience

Generally, finding a job for newcomers in Canada is challenging.

Foreigners were assessed by comparing their academic certificates to Canadian standards. This is fair enough, so whoever gets hired doesn't find it difficult to blend in. As fair as the standards are, it is a challenge. Depending on your study plans, savings and many other factors, you may have to decide whether to take a permanent job, temporary job, or change careers to increase your odds. 

During our job hunt, we often saw this; "Canadian experience is required or an advantage."

This meant that we could hardly pick off our careers from where we stopped in Egypt.
