At MADEINEGYPT.CA we believe sustainability is at the forefront of success.

Everything we do revolves around creating a sustainable environment. Everything from the packaging we use to ship with, to the products themselves.

We aim to create as little environmental impact as possible while simultaneously maintaining the highest of quality in our wares.

Our goal is to leave the world better than we found it, and we would love to share everything about how we can make that happen.

We start with the three pillars of sustainability;

Economic

We are firm believers of thinking outside the box. We are constantly striving to set new standards and do things differently from traditional businesses. We start by doing more with less, prioritizing direct sourcing and in-house solutions.

• We source our collections directly from the artisan, or the brand/manufacturer themselves. In doing this; we can eliminate the need for any external source to help us acquire goods, while simultaneously obtaining and maintaining relationships directly with the artisan or manufacturer.

• We handle the marketing and packaging of all our products in-house. This includes -and not limited to- product photography, website design, social media, customizing our packaging and packaging our products.

By combining direct sourcing and in-house solutions at this stage, we can increase our product collections, minimize running expenses, and ultimately offer solutions to our customers at a lower price point.

Environmental

We strive to leave the world better than we found it. This includes minimal negative impact to our planet, while aiming to make a positive impact in everything we do. Of course as we grow we hope to have much greater positive impact, and we would also love to share how we aim to do that.

We start with our Packaging;

We only partner with eco-friendly packaging suppliers to source all of our packaging supplies. You can expect all packages that you receive from us to be reusable, made from recycled or eco-friendly materials, and recyclable or biodegradable. This includes everything from the boxes and mailers themselves to the stickers and the tape we use to package them up, even the adhesive!

We firmly believe in creating positive change in the environment. For this reason; we keep no secrets. We make sure to include details about our eco-friendly packaging commitment on our website, and instructions on how to properly recycle your packaging after receiving it. We also promote our packaging suppliers’ goals and will continue to support the shift to environmental sustainability.

Social

We love the feeling of giving back and contributing positively to society.
Being able to give back provides us with a sense of purpose and motivates us to give our all.

Excited to give back to our community; we have established some groundwork and commitments starting from day one, including our Give Back program, and Empowering Each Other. 

• From day one; we have committed to giving back 5% of our profits to Canadian Charities. And this is not a temporary commitment. This will continue with no end-date, as it is a staple to our business Concept.

• As well as giving back, we are infatuated with the idea and goal of Empowering Each Other. We love the thought of being transparent in everything we do. We are committed to shifting the spotlight to those who are usually outside of it. We believe it is your right to know everything about your product including the material used as well as who created it. We want to share everything with you and how we do the things that we do. And on Empowering Each Other page, you will see information about our suppliers, and information about those who helped us along the way.
